The PricewaterhouseCoopers Canada Foundation invites applications for its Leadership Grants Program. Leaders at small to medium-sized Canadian registered charities can tap up to $200,000 for professional development opportunities. The deadline for this year's applications is 3 p.m. October 28.

Grants are available in two categories:
  • Individual Leadership Grants (value $2,500) - to be used by individual staff members or volunteers for professional development opportunities of their own design.
  • Team Leadership Grants (value $5,000) - to be used by teams of two or more staff members and/or volunteers (including the applicant) for professional development opportunities of their own design.
Applicants should visit www.pwc.com/ca/grants, review all eligibility criteria and click on the link provided to fill out the online application form before the deadline on October 28, 2011.

The program gives charities the flexibility to take advantage of a development opportunity that best meets their needs. Examples could include anything from formal courses, conferences or training programs to informal learning experiences of the applicant's own design that helps advance professional development and organizational goals.

Since the launch of the Leadership Grants Program in 2006, the PricewaterhouseCoopers Canada Foundation has awarded more than $973,000 in grants to 358 recipients from across the country.
